Dr. Diana Prizgintas

Consultant Clinical Psychologist & Co-Founder | she/her

Dr Prizgintas completed her Master's degree in clinical psychology at Antioch University in 1999 and her Doctoral degree in clinical psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute in 2008. She immigrated to New Zealand with her family in 2010 and has been licensed by the New Zealand Psychologists Board since she arrived. She initially worked in the CAMHS services in the Bay of Plenty where she collaborated with a few other interested clinicians to start the Transgender Youth Pathway. She co-founded Gender Dynamix and is the clinical lead. She is a current member of both PATHA (Professional Association of Transgender Health Aotearoa) and W-PATH (World Professional Association of Transgender Healthcare).

Dylan Henderson

Peer Support Team Leader | he/him

Dylan brings lived experience to his role with Gender Dynamix, as a Transman and as a parent. He has a personal background that spans from The Hutt Valley through to Whakatāne and Tauranga. Previously working within the broadcasting industry Dylan is a creative spirit and an artist. He is passionate about reclaiming, loving and nurturing our trans bodies through fitness and is a former Roller Derby darling, boxer and more recently an enthusiastic runner. Dylan is passionate in his advocacy, a self described Pitbull when it comes to upholding the rights and needs of the community.

Taongahuru Kopa

Online group coordinator | she/ia

Taongahuru is part of our Gender Dynamix whānau. She is fully trained as an Intentional Peer Support Specialist (IPSS). She works as a Trans rights advocate, emotional support person, community educator, and more. Taongahuru has worked in childcare for three years and has a deep passion for the Tauranga Trans community. She is a passionate and fun-loving person with a deep desire to care for members of her community in a warmhearted and uplifting way.

Amy Gosman

Peer Support Specialist & Whakatane Regional Coordinator | she/her

Amy grew up in Kawerau, then went on an OE that lasted over 30 years.  Most recently she worked as a People and Culture Generalist for a corporate media company in California, where her focus was to foster Diversity and Inclusion in the workplace and manage a company wide Employee Engagement program.  Since returning to NZ she has volunteered with Outline, a NZ wide Rainbow peer to peer support phone line.

Amy is passionate about supporting trans and nonbinary people and their families in their journeys to express their authentic selves.

Matt Koch

Office Administrator | he/him

Matt has joined the team of Gender Dynamix after working for the last six years as a community support worker. In addition to administration and grant writing he co-facilitates groups, provides transportation when needed, and coordinates special events.

Koda Gordon-Scapens

Peer Support | he/him

Introducing Koda, a transman and dedicated solo parent with a strong interest in mental health. This year, he's enrolled to study the Level 4 Youth Work Certificate, aiming to channel his experiences and passions into meaningful work. With firsthand knowledge of navigating life as a trans and neurodivergent individual, alongside the responsibilities of young parenthood, Koda offers a unique perspective. When he's not focused on his studies or parenting, he enjoys hobbies like crochet, cooking, delving into research, and hitting the gym. Koda's primary goal is to provide support and empowerment to the Trans and Takatāpui community. He aims to create welcoming environments where individuals can explore, accept, and embrace their identities freely.

Reihana Marx

Peer Support | she/her

Introducing Reihana! Of Whakatōhea and Ngati Raukawa descent, she brings a wealth of expertise to Gender Dynamix as a healthcare professional with over 7 years of experience in public health, health promotion, and patient care. Her journey as a transgender woman adds a unique dimension, blending both professional knowledge and personal insight.
Reihana's dedication extends beyond her career, as she actively advocates for transgender and Māori rights. Over the past 4 years, she has committed herself to becoming a staunch advocate for the transgender community, driven by her passion for equity and inclusivity.
