At Gender Dynamix we offer a range of comprehensive services and resources tailored to the unique needs of our trans and non-binary and gender diverse whānau. We are committed to fostering a welcoming community where you can explore, grow, and connect on your journey towards self-discovery and empowerment.
Gender Exploration & Mental Health Support
Our individual and whānau support is provided by experience clinical mental health providers who specialize in transgender, gender-diverse, and sexual health treatment. This service is collaborative, all-inclusive, and in accordance to current international standards of care using the informed consent model. Referrals for secondary services can be made as needed. We are not a crisis service and general mental health support is limited due to availability.
Peer Support
We offer support from trained community members who have shared life experience. Sometimes groups can be overwhelming or may not meet your individual needs. Our one-on-one peer support approach may be what you need, once or for ongoing support. Let’s talk about how Gender Dynamix and your peers can help! A Trans peer can be there to help with shopping for gender affirming clothing with you, attending transitional appointments, grabbing a cuppa when things get stressful, and more.
Group Support
Group support services for trans and non-binary individuals provide a safe and inclusive space for community members to share their experiences, challenges, and triumphs in navigating gender identity. Facilitated in combination with knowledgeable, clinical professionals and peer support, these groups offer emotional support, resources, and a sense of belonging, fostering a network for individuals on a journey of self-discovery and acceptance.
IPL Laser Hair Removal
(By appointment only) We offer Intense Pulse Light [IPL] laser hair removal, Lumea brand, for those seeking hair removal as part of their transitional needs. This comes through our partnership with Gender Minorities. You must be transgender or nonbinary to receive this service and a client with Gender Dynamix. This service has a one time fee of $20. Professional Development
We offer professional development for all businesses who wish to learn about gender, Trans people, and creating a safe and inclusive workplace for staff and those served by the business. Some developmental programming can include how to develop inclusive, safe workplaces and providing continuing education credits for providers. Interested in this service?
